Either the launch vehicle reached orbit but did not deliver its payload in the targeted orbit, or an exceptional event made it impossible to consider the mission a success.
These are the first two Full Operational Capability satellites of the Galileo constellation, ESA's satellite navigation system and is expected to be completed by 2020. Galileo will provide Europe with an alternative to the American GPS and Russian GLONASS constellations, but will be interoperable with both systems.

Der vierte Flug einer Ariane 6 dieses Jahres wird mit dem Flug VA270 mit einer Ariane 62 den Wettersatelliten MTG-I2 am 27. August von Kourou aus in den Orbit befördern. Entwickelt wurde MTG-I2 durch die ESA, gebaut von einem Konsortium europäischer Firmen, vornehmlich Thales Alenia Space, OHB und Leonardo, und betrieben werden wird er wieder […] Der Beitrag 20. 7. 2026 – Arianespace startet MTG-I
